My career objective is to obtain a position within one of the State/Federal Government’s law enforcement agencies. I would bring my skills acquired during my academic career, athletic career, and work experience. I can promise that I will bring the athletic drive to succeed in this demanding career path.
I am a recent graduate of Rider University and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration (2012). My major was Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Application Development. I have acquired a diverse background in technology, from computer software classes to voluneteering. Since I could remember I dreamed of following in the footsteps of my parents’ careers. They are both involved in helping people, but in two different ways. My mother is a nurse at a local hospital; she helps people get through tough health situations. My father was a federal agent for 26 years. He has shared the feelings of helping the American people by taking drugs off the streets. I was brought up to be in a service type position.
Throughout my entire high school and college educations I considered myself to be a student-athlete. This title brought me its own type of education. Not just me, but all successful student-athletes must be able to prioritize their daily tasks. Doing this, you were able to balance the strenuous loads of school work and athletics.
Gloucester Catholic is the home of the Rams. I attended Gloucester Catholic from 2004-2008. During this time I was a 4-time varsity athlete for the swimming and diving team. I also played JV soccer for my first two years. I decided to stop playing soccer and concentrate on my swimming career in hopes to continue swimming at the next level. In 2008 I committed to Rider University to be on their Division 1 swimming and diving team. Academically, I was taking honor classes at Gloucester Catholic. Being in these classes prepared me for my college academic career.
While at Rider I was in many Computer Information System classes that could be useful in the workplace. Some of those classes were Database Management, System Analysis and Design, Management Information Systems, Game Design, and Internet Application Development. These classes gave me a diverse look into the Information Systems world. Along with academia I was also on the Swimming and Diving team at Rider. This mid-major Division I program was challenging and fun at the same time. Our coach kept a tough schedule in which we had to plan our classes and study time around. Although this sounds like a nuisance, it was actually a big help in budgeting time and staying on track to graduate within the four year window.
During my studies at Rider, one of my biggest projects was a group project creating a website. We could make anything that we wanted and it was over the course of 8 weeks. This project really opened my eyes to the design aspects of websites. I spent a lot of time on this project and it really made me interested in the designing field. Click Here to see the Site!
PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:
My work experience is limited to aquatics. Being a swimmer I have spent a lot of time in and on a pool deck. Since I started being able
to work I was a lifeguard. I chose this because the schedule was flexible enough to work around practice times. Besides being a full time
student and swimmer I also branched into coaching. For current and past work experiences please feel free to contact me. Please go to the contact me button.
St. Charles Borromeo: Member of the technology committee. We discuss future technology and how it can better the parish.
Special Olympics: The Special Olympics of New Jersey is a great place to volunteer. Knowing you are helping run a function that brings joy to kids with special needs’ lives really feels good. The Special Olympics are held at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology (GCIT) in South Jersey every year.
IHN: “The mission of Family Promise – Interfaith Hospitality Network of Gloucester County is to provide homeless families an opportunity to achieve stability by providing shelter, food, case management, and hospitality while simultaneously utilizing resources within local congregations and the community.”
